Join Nancy Bush in Provence for a one week workshop celebrating knitting and color! You will be inspired by the light, scents, tastes, and marvelous colors of this most lovely part of France.

Our workshop will focus on the history of color, where certain colors are found in nature, the symbolism of colors from various cultures and some color theory; what works and why. We will have time to knit in the luxurious surroundings of Le Lavandin, a private guest house located near Avignon and a heartbeat away from the Luberon.

Our project will be a pair of socks, designed by Nancy especially for this week, done in a selection of colors. Techniques will include a unique cast on, an interesting heel and toe shaping and ways to control color in your knitting. Enjoy the beauty, culture and food of Southern France and spend a fascinating week learning more about color and knitting in one of the world’s most interesting places.

This five day workshop includes six nights of lodging, all breakfasts, several lunches, one dinner and at least two field trips that will complement the course work. The price is €1,600.00 per person based on double occupancy. There will be a materials fee for yarn, all you need to bring are needles and a desire to experience the hill towns, the markets and the unique light of Provence.
